Phonkie de Zombie is een stripfiguur dat er van houd om eens per week boven de grond te komen en een liedje te zingen.
Het is de zombie versie van een stripfiguur genaamd 'Phonkie' uit 1994, getekend en verzonnen door Marc Spanjers.
(Zie o.a de comics/albums van o.a 'Kees & DR Kip')
Het was de bedoeling om dit karakter eerst 'Bombie' te noemen maar dat bleek al ooit gedaan door notabene Disnie. Die dis je dus nie en vandaar dat het stripfiguur 'Phonkie de Zombie' heet. 
Dat rijmt weliswaar niet maar zingen kon ie toch al niet.

               CUCKOOCLAN COMIC.                   -KOEKOEKSKLAN-  The CuckooClan aka de Koekoeksklan (in Dutch) is living in the same Forest as Phonkie the Zombie, Kylie the Owl, Bizzi Dizzi & Lady Lips and all the others animals. They are always making trouble and claiming the Forest as their territory and they don't allow foreign species in it. At least they try. For that same reason they want Phonkie the Zombie out as well. And because Phonkie sings like a cunt from hell. But Phonkie the Zombie has got a freedom loving, anarchist view on things. He and Kylie hate the Cuckooclan and will do everything in their power to protect this forest from all evil. -De Koekoeksklan verscheen voor het eerst in de 'Leipe Ice Kids' strips/comic, 2002.
